I'm wearing: Uniqlo yellow jeans, Mendocino plaid blazer, H&M silk blouse, Medallion necklace from Sardinia street vendor, Lardini Silk Scarf (borrowed from Mass), Miu Miu purse, Prada shoes

Mass' wearing: Suit from Filotrano, Pollastrelli shoes, shirt, and tie from Italy, Camerucci Scarf from Superman in Italy (can be bought online)

A few days ago I mentioned a change to the blog. Well, here it is (in it's very raw stages).

As an early anniversary present, Mass made his gf very happy by getting her what she's been wanting for months now. He scoured and researched, he risked customs in Moscow and back, he put up with her nagging...and he did good.

Introducing the newest addition to our family: Nikon D90 with AF-S DX 18-105mm lens. Demonstrated above, we are complete newbies and haven't had a proper chance to fool around with the settings, learn the functions etc. However, we are so eager to learn! Therefore, any tips are more than welcome :)

I love it. Isn't he the best? Thank you :)

Almost the weekend! Hope you're having a good week so far!

Ciao!

I'm Wearing: Tods flat sandals (never was a huge fan of Tods until I moved to Europe, seems to be more of a trend here), Asos jumper (you have no idea how difficult it was to zip up - imagine going to the bathroom!), Prada clutch, Marc Jacobs sunnies

Mass' Wearing: Nico Di Donna trousers, Lardini loafers, Linen shirt from Paris, Marc Jacob sunnies

On Sunday, we had the typical Italian lunch (read: feast) at Mass' parents place. It never fails for Mass and his brother to head out onto the terrace after to have a cigar and grappa.

I bought Mass the linen shirt when I was in Paris a few months ago. We were walking along a tailor street (cheaper equivalent to Saville Row in Paris) and I coincidentally popped into a mens shop that provided tailoring to a number of political figures, including Bill Clinton. I love the looseness of the shirt, it falls so nicely on him.

In the evening we went to Gubbio, Italy (a region in Perugia). We met some friends from London who took us to an Agriturismo in the middle of nowhere. Borgo di Carpiano specializes in 'un-plugging'. Especially for those who live in a big city like London, they give you the opportunity to literally unplug from everything (there is barely a bar of reception on your mobile). As you can see from the photos, the view is spectacular. The infinity pool ain't so bad either. The venue is a refurbished church that was re-built brick by brick, layer by layer, a few years ago. They only have seven rooms total and I even heard patrons from North America (aside from me).

We had a fantastic meal at their restaurant with a bottle of red from their region (and yes it was followed by a Toscana - cigar from Italy - and a grappa)

Back in London rain, Ciao for now!

Wearing: BCBG dress, Balmain (potential knockoff) tuxedo jacket from Shanghai, Ring gifted from Mass from Rome, bracelet gifted from Mass' mama from Sardinia, DVF Opal Wedges

This past weekend was spent in Fabriano, Italy for Mass' papa's surprise 60th birthday party. It was a huge success, and by success I mean he was literally shocked. I love surprises (this is by no way a hint) but I love giving them more.
We stopped by the Prada and Tods outlet after we landed and picked up a few items which I am sure you will see within the next few posts (needless to say I love wearing all my new goodies immediately, screw waiting for an appropriate occasion).

I wore this outfit to the party. The dress was bought in NYC with my sis and mom last summer. My sis and I were supposed to 'share' this dress, but unfortunately we live in different countries, so it's on my time share at the moment (she also looks vastly differently in this dress than I do, maybe one day I'll do a comparison?). Everything else you've seen before.

Finally get to display the new changes for this blog within the week! Am very excited. I think it'll improve the quality of the site greatly. You can be the judge though, you're probably better at it.

Ciao for now! Hope you had a great weekend.

As I'm sure you've seen, my hair has been a bit unruly lately. Splits ends galore, grown-out fringe, hair length down to the small of my back. It needed some serious reworking. I've always been a huge fan of the Japanese hair stylists (well also in almost everything they do because of the attention to detail) and when my old hair stylist in London told me she was moving back to Japan I was disheartened. Luckily my gf acted as a successful guinea pig to ESHK Hair and in came Jackie (pictured above). She lived up to the Japanese meticulous detail.

Here's the final product:

Looks a hell of a lot healthier now doesn't it?

After every great cut is the post-cut debrief. Making her italianese debut, here's the gf referral AND photographer of the next few pics, Janet.

Isn't she a pretty awesome photographer? I'm sure we'll be having more shoots in the future with her handy work.

We're off to Italy for the weekend. See you Monday with our pics from there!

Have a great weekend.

Ciao ciao!

I'M FREE!...sorta. Yesterday's exam marks the last one of my LLM. Unfortunately that's not the end, but we're happy at least one hurdle has been tackled. In celebration, Mass surprised me with flowers (as you've seen on twitter) and a resto. Tonight's choice: Nobu on Berkeley. Ok, I think I should tell you my opinion of restaurants like these first. Nobu, amongst others, in my opinion, is a restaurant trafficked by countless wannabe financiers who think they can buy their way into woman everywhere, which normally they can in places like Nobu. Why? Because countless high class hooker equivalents stand at the bar waiting for their pick up lines. Maybe I'm being a reverse snob, but personally, I go to restaurants for ambiance and food. Not to be seen and/or a new Chanel.

Anyhow, minus the pretentiousness, in terms of food, I was pleasantly surprised! Comparing it only to the Nobu in midtown NYC which was so-so, the food was unexpectedly good! A bit of an overkill with the ponzu butter for the king crab leg tempura (I have a HUGE ponzu fetish), but all in all, quite delectable. If only the whores weren't around...oops, have I gone too far?

I didn't look particularly amazing last night, thus why the pictures are from the neck down. I'm wearing another Elina Cheung creation (same designer as the white shirt you saw here) from Shanghai. The front lapels extend downwards like a tuxedo. The gold shirt is the same one you saw here but I substituted the Roberta Freymann necklace with a medallion necklace from Sardinia street vendor and a Marc Jacobs necklace layered on top. Finally as you recall here Mass bought me a green ring made from glass from Venice, here is the debut. She's a beauty isn't she?

The sun decided to shine for my first day of semi-freedom! Lovely day in London.

Ciao sweethearts!

On Saturday we had to go to Nikita, the self-proclaimed best Russian restaurant in town. I had absolutely nothing to compare it to so, two thumbs up? Though I did try the dark cherry russian tea which turned out to be very soothing. Anyway, we were there for a birthday and apparently the place is usually bustling with accordion players and the like but with the bank holiday this weekend, there was no one around. Works for me, I like it when we get the place to ourselves.

Above is one of those day-night outfits again, though the 6.5 inches platform is questionably a shoe to bring you through the day. The shirt is ahhh-mazing. It has about 4 different ways you can wear it and I'm all for versatility. Versatility is a good justification for why you should buy it despite the bigger price tag. That and quality, you'll wear it all the time, you don't have 17 other white shirts that will do the same trick...

Anyway, gotta run - I shouldn't be posting, I have the last of my LLM exams tomorrow!

Ciao for now! Happy Monday!
