Silence for Japan

I, like many others, I imagine, am having a hard time watching the news these days.  I don't want to be an ostrich with my head stuck in the sand, but my heart breaks for Japan every time I watch television.  And the news seems to be getting worse.  Japan is not just dealing with the earthquake and resulting tsunami, which would be difficult enough for any nation to handle, but with the looming threat of catastrophic radiation poisoning which would make relief efforts that much more difficult.

I want to do something.  I feel like I need to do something. So, tomorrow, I will be participating in a special event set up by Utterly Engaged and Ever Ours in which I, and other bloggers, will be observing a day of blogging silence to help spread the word and hopefully help raise money for Shelter Box.

For more info on the day of silence, or if you are a blogger and are interested in getting involved, click here.

To donate, go to Shelter Box via For Japan with Love.  You can also donate to the Red Cross, here or here
