Forgot about these photos we had taken at an annual holiday party in London with some of our friends at the Savile Club. Always nice to get a group of people together, dress em up, and have a nice meal.
This Giambattista Valli dress / top thing has been more versatile than one would've imagined looking at it! Especially to my conservative mother who was already questioning its usage when we bought it together.
I love a good pant suit when everyone else is in dresses. Exudes just the right amount of confidence. Mental note: need to get myself more pant suits.

So I didn't go out in this yesterday but lately my uniform has been some variation of this. Every year when winter rolls around, no matter the trends, I always resort to the same look: jeans, a big sweater / v-neck sweaters / crew neck sweaters. Sounds boring I know but I think the best dressed people out there are the ones who don't try so hard. I think it is tough not to get sucked into the seasonal trends, especially when there are so many Zara and H&Ms out there, but guaranteed everyone looks their absolute best in what they feel most comfortable in.
I get quite a few people asking me where I get my 'style sense' from and to be quite honest, I have no idea. When I buy clothing, I don't buy with an outfit in mind. I buy the item. When I get home, all it is is trying to pair the best items together, literally making do with what you have. I don't like to spend buttloads of money on daily wear (except for timeless items) but I do like to spend on the items that last beyond the season.
My favourite high street stores for minimalism and quality are:
COS - www.cosstores.com/
Club Monaco - www.clubmonaco.com/
Weekday (if you live in a Nordic country / Germany) - www.weekday.se/
Aqua (online shopping) - www.aquabyaqua.com/
Burberry Prorsum shearling coat, Acne jeans and belt, COS sweater, Jimmy Choo boots (got at a greeeeat sample sale)
Happy sale shopping everyone!

Lately I have been obsessed with finding the perfect shade of nude. I always have nail varnish on so I can never test it out in stores, forcing me to purchase the colour and attempt it at home. If I'm not decently satisfied, I can't do much but keep it so I've gained quite a collection. The above varnishes are my favourites. I really love the OPI one for a bit of a whiter finish but Butter's Nail Foundation is fabbbbbbulous for the perfect matte look. It's 17.5ml which is significantly greater but that explains the more expensive price tag of £17. That and you can't seem to find a good variety of Butter shades in London!
Butter Nail Foundation , Butter 'Tea with the Queen', Chanel '485 Django', Risque 'Renda' - a very economical brand from Brasil which comes highly recommended, especially for your toes!, OPI 'So Many Clowns...So Little Time'
Finally finished the mocks now, so off to celebrate with a glass or two. Happy four days until Christmas!

Obsessed with peg legs lately. Found these sparkly trousers at Zara for only £29.99 (ironically saw it was £39.99 online).
Zara trousers, Rupert Sanderson heels

I have been in search for the perfect white shirt for ages. I finally found it. Helmut Lang's cut and design is absolutely perfect for those who want not too loose but just loose enough (that's what she said).

Jil Sander hot pink trousers...my new favorite piece in my closet. Believe it or not, it matches quite a lot.

Two weekends ago, Mass and I headed out to Reading for my friend's son's christening (isn't he adorbs?). Following the ceremony, we stopped by my favorite town for my favorite meal in the UK: Caldesi in Campagna in Bray. Some of you might recognize Bray to be home of the infamous Fat Duck, but I like to think of Bray as home to Waterside Inn and Caldesi.
Mass took me here for my bday last November and it was heaven. Caldesi is where I first laid eyes (and nose) on my eternal favorite produce, the white truffle. This time around was no less spectacular. Although Bray is a small town known for its Michelin star restuarants (houses two 3-stars w/in a 2km radius), it's such a treat when you need to get away from London. (Caldesi also has a restaurant in London (Marylebone) but I prefer the ambiance in Bray).
Boarding to Sicily now for the rest of the wknd. Will be back in London Tuesday. Have yourselves a fantastic weekend.

MASS: OOLOO CLOTHING t-shirt, CESARE PACIOTTI jacket, NICO DIDONNA trousers
Being a native Canadian, I am always on the lookout for the newest clothing lines to debut on the market. Being a girl who loves the classic t-shirt and jeans look, it's no surprise that when OOLOO CLOTHING, hailing from TO, displayed their first line, I was hooked. T-shirts require a lot more attention than we give them credit for. You don't want them to cling, you need the perfect loose but not too loose shape, and you don't want them so short you're reviving the 90's. Above all, you want it to have a message.
Ooloo's msges caught my eye as being slightly quirky (which I love) and just subtle enough that only the cleverest of minds will decipher. Kinda like 'ooloo' (note the hidden msg).
Ooloo sent Mass and I a couple of their shirts and I gotta admit, pretty genius. In addition, their tees fit well with all the requirements of a proper fit. Check out their site.
Genius right? I wouldn't say it if it weren't true.
In Verona ATM boarding back to Sardinia for a few days before Sicily. See you soon!

To put it bluntly, the weather in London has been crap. These photos were shot at the peak of the afternoon and I could've done with another sweater. While everyone is saying how much they want to wear all the new fall collections, I'm living proof that you can.
We stopped by our favourite designer and store, Nico Didonna, last Saturday and picked up this dress/vest. I envisaged so many ways in wearing it that the next post will also showcase a different method. All about the staple pieces.
